About

I was born in Ohio to a preacher and his piano playing wife. My first Sunday of life was my first Sunday in church. At age 10, I remember sitting on the front row of our little church in Portland, Maine watching my mom play and thinking that she was amazing.
At the age of 15, I felt the Holy Spirit begin to nudge me toward music. But I was a basketball player and decided to stay with what I thought I could do well. After graduating High School, I went to Bryan College on a full athletic scholarship. MY PLAN was to be a high school bible teacher and basketball coach. In the middle of my sophomore year, I decided to quit basketball and change schools.
I was confused at what to do and where to go. So one night at a beautiful church service, in the middle of worship, I was reminded about the call I heardonly a few years earlier. My mom had always played the music, but I didn’t know she was my example of a worship leader. For so many years I sat on the front pew and couldn’t take my eyes off her hands. She would play and sing with such passion and little did she know she was shaping my future.
I love leading people into true, real worship of the King. I love seeing people free to lift their hands with unashamed love and devotion for the One who purchased their life. I love watching my girls’ dance around to songs they don’t even understand yet, but somehow it is planting a seed of adoration in their little hearts. I love looking at the back of the church and seeing my handsome husband with his arms stretched wide in worship. I love tucking my son in at night and singing songs with him. But most of all, I love my Jesus.
